BOMBAY MASALA TOAST



INGREDIENTS:


3 boiled Potato (Roughly Smashed)
1tsp Cumin Seeds
1tsp Mustard Seeds
1/2tsp Turmeric Powder
1tsp Garam Masala
1tsp Red Chilly Powder
Salt
Bread Slices
Cucumber ,Tomato,Beetroot, Onion, Slices
Sandwich Masala
2tbsp Butter
2tbsp Pudina Chutney
1tbsp Oil



PREPARATIONS :



  • Place the 3 potatoes  & 2 beetroot in cooker. Add enough water to cover the tops of the potatoes. After 2 whistles on high flame switch off the stove. Peel the skin after the potatoes are cooled down.
  • Trim the edges of bread slices & keep aside.
  • Cut all the these vegetables in ring shape- Tomato, Cucumber, Onion,  Beetroot.

METHOD:


  

Step I :

  • Heat the 1tbsp oil in a deep non-stick pan and add 1tsp cumin seeds.
  • When the seeds crackle, add 1tsp mustard seeds and sauté on a medium flame for few seconds.
  • Add the 3 boiled potatoes(roughly smashed), 1/2tsp turmeric powder, 1tsp garam masala, 1tsp red chilly powder and  salt to taste, mix well and cook on a medium flame for another minute. Keep it aside.


  
Step II :

  • Apply 1/2tsp butter and 1/2tsp pudina chutney on each bread slice .
  • Place 2tbsp portion of the aloo masala and spread it evenly over it.
  • Arrange 4 onion slices, 4 tomato slices, 4 beetroot slices and 4 capsicum slices over the stuffing and sprinkle sandwich masala evenly over it.
  • Cover it with another slice of bread and press it lightly.
  • Grease a sandwich toaster on both the sides with butter.
  • Place the sandwich in the sandwich toaster and cook on a medium flame, till it turns brown and crisp from both the sides. 
  • Serve immediately with tomato ketchup and garlic green chutney.
